​​The groups presented on this page are for anyone interested in learning to play the ukulele or improving their ukulele skills and above all having fun. 

I can't guarantee that all classes will meet when noted below.  For example, if a group's meeting day falls on a holiday, the group probably won't meet.

MONDAY

10:00 - 11:00am (Second and fourth Monday of each month)
Ukulelians - Brand New To The Uke
Person Senior Center, Finley Center (2060 W College Ave., Santa Rosa)
This introductory class is designed to provide help with tuning, parts of the ukulele, basic chords, using online resources and even a song.  The material in this class is repeated each time… some may want to repeat this a few times to reinforce the information presented.

Ukulelians - Bill’s Beginners and Beyond
Person Senior Center, Finley Center (2060 W College Ave., Santa Rosa)
The emphasis of this group is to have fun playing the Ukulele!  Each session begins with an easy 2 chord song and progresses to more challenging songs during the hour.  The abilities of the group’s members range from Beginner to quite a bit Beyond ….  There will be occasional, optional performances. 
Music:  The music is online. The first time you attend look over somebody's shoulder. While you are there, you will be able to get yourself on the email list which will connect you to the online music.

TUESDAY

10:30 - 12:30pm
Oakmont Ukesters
Oakmont Gardens (301 White Oak Dr., Santa Rosa) 
All level of players are welcome to join the Oakmont club to have fun playing and singing.  There will be occasional, optional performances.  You are welcome as a guest, members will share their music with you.
Music: After joining the group, you will be given access to Google Drive which contains the music.

Play and sing circle at Coffee Catz
Coffee Catz (6761 Sebastopol Ave, Sebastopol)
Any level of skill is welcome at this drop in group.  We just like to have fun!
Music: Daily Uke (book 1) and the Santa Cruz books (books 1 & 2).  If you don't have the books, get cozy with someone and look over their shoulder.

WEDNESDAY

1:00 - 3:00pm
Ukulelians - Intermediate and Advanced 
Person Senior Center, Finley Center (2060 W College Ave., Santa Rosa) 
1:00-2:00  Mostly familiar songs in a sing-a-long format.
2:00- 3:00 Instructional presentations - songs with more complicated chords, and strumming patterns, more complex vocal arrangements and groups skills. Unopen Mic Performance rehearsals which everyone is welcome to attend.  There will be occasional, optional performances at non-profits around town.
Music: The music archive is web based containing hundreds of songs.  A tablet to display the songs is not required, but highly desirable since we often spontaneously choose songs. The first time you attend look over somebody's shoulder (we're a friendly group). While you are there, you will be able to get yourself connected to the online music.

THURSDAY

​​6:00 - 9:00pm (Third Thursday of the month)
West County Ukulele Club
Union Hotel, 3731 Main St, Occidental
Meetings are open to all levels of players interested in sharing their skills and adding to their ukulele experience.  The club gathers to eat at the hotel dining room at 6pm and the music starts at 7pm.

FRIDAY

10:00 - 11:45am
Sebastopol Ukestars
Community Church (1000 Gravenstein Hwy N, Sebastopol)
All level of ukulele players are welcome. Bring your uke, stand, and tuner. Plan to enjoy friendship and music. It is recommended that you arrive at 9:45am as the Ukestars begin strumming and sing-a-long at 10:00AM sharp.  There will be occasional, optional performances around Sebastopol. 
Music: The music is on the Google Drive. A link to all the music will be provided to you at the session.  If you do not have a tablet, looking over someone's shoulder is more than okay.

12:30 - 2:00pm
Healdsburg Ukulele Club
Healdsburg Senior Center (133 Matheson St., Healdsburg)
All skill levels are welcome to come play. Music is generally at an intermediate level but beginners are absolutely welcome. After all, we are all learning at some level. Occasionally, we have an instructor come in with instruction on strumming techniques and other refinements. There will be occasional, optional performances around Sonoma County.
Music: 2 books - The Daily Ukulele and the Daily Ukulele, Leap Year Edition.
